Josh Metellus still hasn’t forgotten the bad loss at Penn State in 2017.

That loss to the Nittany Lions sticks in his memory for more reasons than one, but it was really the turning point for Michigan’s season. The Wolverines entered that contest with a 5-1 record and looking to put together a strong season.

Unfortunately, Penn State, in White Out conditions, rolled to a 42-13 blowout that shifted Michigan’s season. Jim Harbaugh and company went 3-4 the rest of the way to finish with an 8-5 overall record.

For Metellus, Penn State hosting another White Out for the Wolverines this season is going to bring back the emotions he felt during that 2017 loss. But he thinks the team will use them for motivation:

“White Out, 7:30 at night. It’s going to help me bring back the same emotion I felt leaving that game,” explained Metellus.

He went onto say that the worst part of the 2017 game was simply taking the loss:

“No matter what happened in the game, I just hate losing,” said Metellus.
