Josh Uche’s performance against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football was spectacular. It’s no wonder that he won AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

The New England Patriots beat the Arizona Cardinals 27-13. Part of the reason that the Cardinals struggled to move the ball was because of the dominant defense of the Patriots.

Uche recorded 3 sacks, 5 total tackles, and 3 tackles for loss in the win. The other players who won the award were Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence and Baltimore Ravens DE Calais Campbell.

Uche’s 3-sack outing now has him at 10 sacks on the season. His last few games have been very entertaining to watch. Uche also has 24 total tackles and 8 tackles for loss this season.

The Patriots drafted Uche in the 2nd round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Michigan. It looks like his talent is translating to the professional level so far. The Wolverines sure do know how to develop talent on the defensive side of the ball.

We’ll see if Uche can keep this hot streak going as New England faces the Las Vegas Raiders next. That game kicks off Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET on FOX.
