Juwan Howard jumped to Jim Harbaugh’s defense after it was announced the Michigan head coach would receive disciplinary action from the Big Ten.

Harbaugh, who boarded a bus to travel to the airport and Penn State for Saturday’s game, will be prohibited from being on the sideline until the conclusion of the regular season. He will be allowed to coach during the week. A further punishment could be coming as well.

Howard, the current head coach of Michigan’s basketball team and a Wolverine legend, posted his support for Harbaugh on social media Friday evening.

Following the announcement, the Michigan community has rallied around Harbaugh, and Howard is just the latest. Michigan released a fiery statement regarding the matter. Likewise, several Michigan players voiced their support for their head coach on social media.

Michigan will have a tough game to manage without its head coach as the Wolverines take on Penn State on Saturday. Michigan still has a handful of tough games left in the season, including its final game of the year against Ohio State.
