Kansas City Chiefs update status of ex-Michigan QB Chad Henne
This is not good news for Chad Henne.
The former star quarterback at Michigan has bounced around the NFL, mostly serving as a backup during his career. Most recently, Henne is with the Kansas City Chiefs and serving as the backup to Patrick Mahomes.
Unfortunately, it looks like Henne will be out for quite some time. The Chiefs placed him on the IR Sunday as he awaits surgery on a fractured ankle.
Henne threw for 9,715 yards and 87 TDs during his Michigan career. He is the all-time leader of the Wolverines in both categories.
In a corresponding move, guard Jeff Allen was signed. Allen played his college ball at Illinois.
We have signed free agent G Jeff Allen.
LB Jeremiah Attaochu has been released.
