Kenneth Grant is headed to the NFL Draft.

Grant announced that news in a social media post on Thursday morning. Grant, who starred on Michigan’s defensive line for the past 2 seasons, will be leaving Ann Arbor in favor of an NFL career.

Here’s his official announcement:

“To my teammates, brothers, and all my friends,” Grant wrote in-part, “Thank you for the countless memories that were created and shared upon us. The support has pushed me to the limits I never knew I could reach.

With that said, I, Kenneth Grant Jr., will be declaring and entering my name into the 2025 NFL Draft.”

Grant had 1 year of collegiate eligibility remaining, but his entry into the 2025 NFL Draft has long been expected. He’s currently projected to be a first-round pick in next April’s draft.

Grant developed into one of the most disruptive interior defensive linemen in the country over his 3 years in Ann Arbor. He departs Michigan with 12 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries and 10 pass deflections in his collegiate career.

If Grant does go in the first round, it would mark the 4th time in 5 years that Michigan will have produced a first-round defensive lineman.

The 2025 NFL Draft will be held from April 24-26, 2025.
