Kris Jenkins is an interior defender and run-stuffing game-changer for Michigan’s defense. However, he does not get a lot of chances with the ball in his hands due to his position.

That changed for a moment Saturday night with Jenkins getting a shot at the unthinkable. After snagging his first career interception, Jenkings made a run at scoring an incredible pick-6.

Jenkins started to rush the quarterback on the play but quickly settled into coverage as Bowling Green tried to set up a screen pass. The QB was still hurried and threw up a prayer, right into the path of Jenkins who read the play perfectly.

He made some nifty plays after securing the interception, even dragging a Bowling Green player for about 5 yards. Jenkins was eventually brought down shy of the goal line, but the play still goes down as his first career interception and first chance sporting the “Turnover Buffs.”

The good news is Blake Corum made sure the takeaway wasn’t wasted, scoring on a short run moments after the takeaway.
