Michigan star Kris Jenkins will be entering the 2024 NFL Draft, according to a report.

That news was shared by ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Friday evening. The massive defensive lineman collected 37 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks this past season.

ESPN’s draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. has Jenkins as the No. 5 defensive tackle in the draft and a top 50 overall prospect.

Jenkins’ college career will end with the lineman playing in 37 games with the Wolverines. Jenkins collected 113 tackles, 8.5 for loss, and 4.5 sacks during that time. The big defender also came down with an interception and forced a fumble.

For Jenkins’ efforts in 2023, the lineman received Second-team All-American and Second-team All-Big Ten honors. In the National Championship Game against Washington, Jenkins added 2 tackles.

Jenkins was originally a 3-star prospect out of Olney, MD, per the 247Sports Composite ranking. Jenkins was rated as the No. 19 prospect out of Maryland and the No. 21 defensive end in the class of 2020. Jenkins’ father, also named Kris Jenkins, played 10 seasons in the NFL and was selected to 4 Pro Bowls. Jenkins’ uncle, Cullen Jenkins, also had a lengthy NFL career.
