Kwity Paye, former Michigan DL, has injury from TNF vs. Broncos revealed, per report
Kwity Paye reportedly suffered a high-ankle sprain in Thursday night’s contest with the Denver Broncos per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The second-year defensive end out of Michigan was off to a stellar start to the season. Throughout his first 5 games, he had 12 solo tackles, 3 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss, almost reaching his total from last year in all 3 categories.
The injury won’t derail his season and will likely be back within the next 4-6 weeks, but it is definitely a momentum killer for Paye as he was at the beginnings of a breakout season.
The injury came on a play where he was able to put pressure on Russell Wilson and force a throw that lead to a Rodney Thomas interception. Paye could stay on the ground and could not put pressure on his right leg following the play.
Hopefully Paye will be able to resume his breakout candidacy when he comes back.
#Colts DE Kwity Paye, who was carted off during last night’s win over the #Broncos, is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain based on the initial evaluation, source said. He’ll have an MRI today to confirm and detail a timetable.
