Every sports fan likes a turn-around story (except maybe in this case Ohio State fans) and the 2021 Michigan football team is right up there with the best of them.

Last season, the Wolverines were at the bottom of the B1G East standings with a 2-4 record, along with in-state rival Michigan State.

Fast forward to today.

Just 11 months later, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh not only has his Wolverines heading into the B1G Championship game against No. 12 Iowa next Saturday, but No. 2 Michigan is a double-digit favorite. Odds makers have set the opening odds for next week’s game, and the Wolverines are a 10.5-point favorite.

As far as the conference championship games on next weekend’s slate, only No. 4 Cincinnati is favored by more than a touchdown, with the Bearcats also favored by 10.5 over Houston.
