The relationship between the University of Michigan and Chris Webber as been rocky for a few decades now. It’s been difficult to get the former college basketball and NBA star back on campus.
Leave it to Jim Harbaugh to bring the Wolverines legend back to Ann Arbor.
Saturday, Webber served as Michigan’s honorary captain for the matchup against Penn State. He was met with gracious applause and support and the Wolverines obliterated the Nittany Lions in a 42-7 victory.
On Monday, Webber joined the Rich Eisen Show to talk about his return to Ann Arbor and the experience of being an honorary captain. The former NBA star says he could “feel the love” from the Michigan crowd.
Webber had a hard time putting the experience into words. The interview is certainly worth a listen.
