Week 3 of the college football season is well under way and Michigan is hosting SMU.

Late in the first quarter, the Wolverines were driving on the Mustangs and were in the red zone. Then, QB Shea Patterson threw a pass that ended up getting picked off, ending the scoring opportunity.

Mikial Onu made the interception on the Ole Miss transfer and got to show off one of college football’s hottest trends: a turnover prop.

Miami (FL) was known for its turnover chain, and since then, a number of schools have implemented its own versions of the chain. Whether it be a throne, a crown or a wooden plank — yes, seriously, a plank — teams are looking to get its players amped up to create turnovers.
