Former Michigan tight end Louis Hansen announced that he would be transferring from Michigan to UConn Monday evening. The Massachusetts native will be heading back to the northeast.
Hansen is a former 4-star prospect in the Class of 2021 and will have 4 remaining years of eligibility with his redshirt year.

Hansen was rated as the No. 257 recruit in the Class of 2021 and the No. 11 tight end. Currently, UConn has only 1 4-star or higher level talent on the team, 4-star offensive tackle Dayne Shor, who transferred from Alabama.
A reason UConn is getting these transfer commitments is likely Jim L. Mora, who became UConn’s head coach this past season. The Huskies had a respectable year by their standards, winning 6 games. That’s 2 more than the Huskies have combined in the previous 4 seasons.
