Makari Paige speaks on energy surrounding Michigan State week in Ann Arbor
Makari Paige, Michigan defensive back, shared his thoughts on the Michigan-Michigan State rivalry Wednesday afternoon.
For the junior, he has played in his share of Michigan-Michigan State games, and he knows how much the game means to the team and to the fan base.
“I think just coming here, everybody knows how much it means,” Paige said. “Just being around the environment and the culture, you just know. Michigan State week — it’s time to go.”
Everyone knows how much this one means.

The game might not be as competitive as most years with Michigan State’s recent struggles and Michigan’s recent success, but he still knows that this game just means more.
Michigan State won last year’s matchup, and the Wolverines are looking for revenge this season.
The Wolverines have had a dominant season so far, and a win against Michigan State would be the icing on the cake.
On the flip side, Michigan State is looking for an upset to spark the team. The Spartans are 3-4 on the season.
