Makari Vickers is one of the elite safety prospects via the 2023 recruiting class. On Tuesday, he made cuts to his and dropped the final 3 programs on his list of potential destinations.

Included on Vickers’ final list is Michigan alongside Alabama out of the SEC and Oklahoma out of the Big 12. Prior to making cuts, Vickers had generated a host of Power 5 offers from across the country.

A cornerback in high school, the 6-foot-1 and 180 lb. Vickers is rated as a 4-star safety prospect by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He is also rated as the No. 5 safety in the nation and 85th player in the country regardless of position for the class of 2023.

As things currently stand, Michigan could use a big boost for the 2023 recruiting cycle. The class for the Wolverines currently holds 10 commitments but is ranked 45th nationally by the team recruiting rankings.
