Michael Phelps pumps up Michigan linebackers with pep talk moments before Fiesta Bowl
Michael Phelps spoke to the Michigan linebackers leading up the Fiesta Bowl. Phelps attended Michigan and wanted to hype up his favorite football team.
Phelps won a total of 66 gold medals from his efforts as an Olympic swimmer for the United States. Phelps competed in four different Olympic Games for his country before retiring after the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Whatever Phelps said to the Michigan linebackers must have worked, because they seemed very energetic afterwards.

Michigan might not need any more motivation after how last season ended. The Wolverines lost to Georgia in the 2021 College Football Playoff semifinal at Hard Rock Stadium 34-11.
Things are different this time around as Michigan is undefeated and led by J.J. McCarthy at quarterback. McCarthy has 2,376 yards passing with 24 touchdowns coming into the matchup with TCU.
The Horned Frogs stand in Michigan’s way when it comes to competing for a national title. The Fiesta Bowl kicks off at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN.
