Michigan will be short a wide receiver pledge for the time being (unless that spot gets filled before signing day).

Tay’Shawn Trent has announced that he’s opening his recruitment back up on Twitter after being committed to the Wolverines.

Trent is rated as a 3-star and the No. 12 overall player in his home state. He’s also ranked as the No. 56 receiver in the country and the No. 400 overall recruit, regardless of position per 247Sports Composite.

After Trent made the announcement, 2 new crystal balls came in for him to go to Louisville. Allen Trieu and Steve Wiltfong both put them in with a confidence level of 3 and 5, respectively.

There have been a lot of power 5 schools that have shown interest in Trent, including Indiana, Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Syracuse, West Virginia, Kentucky, Louisville, and obviously Michigan.

No timetable has been set for Trent to announce his next destination.
