Michigan adds future home contest vs. MAC opponent

Michigan is working on rounding out the future schedule for the Wolverines, and the program announced a second nonconference opponent for the 2027 season on Thursday.
According to a release on social media, Michigan will face Buffalo at home in 2027. The two programs have just one all-time meeting that came during the 1901 season, a win for the Wolverines.

Buffalo will be Michigan’s second nonconference opponent for 2027. The Wolverines already know they will travel to face Texas in Austin on Sept. 11 that season. Michigan needs one more team to complete the 2027 nonconference portion of the schedule.

Here are the opponents already lined up for Michigan’s 2027 schedule, including B1G teams:
- vs. Buffalo — Sept. 4
- at Texas — Sept. 11
- at Indiana
- at Iowa
- vs. Illinois
- vs. Ohio State
- vs. Oregon
- vs. Rutgers
- at Michigan State
- at Penn State
- at UCLA
