Michigan’s annual recruiting barbecue over the weekend yielded yet another commitment.

Days after visiting Ann Arbor over the weekend, four-star Indianapolis linebacker Cameron McGrone announced his commitment to Michigan during a commitment ceremony on Monday.

McGrone is rated the No. 2 recruit in the state of Indiana and the No. 14 outside linebacker in the 2018 class, according to the 247sports composite.

In just the 247sports rankings, McGrone is the No. 3 outside linebacker and the No. 1 recruit from Indiana in the 2018 class.

The Lawrence Central High School recruit has no shortage of offers. The Wolverines held off in-state Indiana and Notre Dame, as well as Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others.

McGrone’s announcement meant that the Wolverines now have verbal commitments from the top two recruits from Indiana, including Emil Ekiyor. He just happened to be in attendance for McGrone’s announcement:

The Wolverines now have nine verbal pledges from four-star 2018 recruits.

McGrone was Michigan’s 12th verbal commitment in its 2018 class, which is ranked No. 3 in the B1G and No. 18 overall.
