The Michigan Wolverines announced that 2 of their own will be returning home. Jason Avant and Jack Miller will join the Wolverine radio network this coming fall.

The pair will join play-by-play announcer Doug Karsch and analyst Jon Jansen this year. Avant is considered one of the best Wolverine wide receivers of all time.

Avant is 4th in program history with 169 career receptions and 10th with 2,247 career receiving yards. He caught at least 1 reception in 35 straight games, the third longest streak in Michigan history. Avant was picked in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft (109th overall) by the Philadelphia Eagles and played 11 NFL seasons.

After his playing career, Avant went into the business world before joining the Eagles coaching staff in 2020. He also ventured into television with the Eagles as well.

Miller played on the Wolverines’ offensive line in 22 games, starting 16 of those games at center. Before coming to the broadcast booth with the University of Toledo for 3 years, Miller was part of a marketing company out of Detriot.

The Michigan broadcast is lucky to have 2 former players who know the program inside and out and can give the fans more insight as to what goes on with the team.
