Michigan adds third Massachusetts product to 2021 recruiting class
Michigan is invading the state of Massachusetts to assemble its 2021 recruiting class.
The Wolverines received another pledge from a Massachusetts product on Friday, as three-star weak-side defensive end T.J. Guy gave his verbal commitment to Michigan. He becomes the ninth player to commit in the 2021 class.
“I’m choosing a school where I will excel on the field and the classroom,” Guy wrote in his Twitter message. “With all that being said I’m excited to announce my commitment to the University of Michigan.”

Guy is listed as a 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive end, per 247Sports. He’s ranked as the No. 44 player at his position and the sixth-best player out of the state of Massachusetts. Guy chose the Wolverines over offers from Nebraska, Boston College, Pitt, Syracuse and Virginia.
Michigan now has three players from Massachusetts committed in its 2021 class. Also coming from the state are four-star tight end Louis Hansen and three-star inside linebacker Casey Phinney.
The Wolverines now rank eighth nationally with the 2021 recruiting class and third in the B1G.
