Nothing can erase the 21-point loss against Wisconsin last week, but Michigan began to put the embarrassing defeat behind them Saturday with an early score against Rutgers.

Quarterback Shea Patterson delivered a nice pass to Nico Collins on an out-route, which Collins, with the help of a very nice block, turned into a 48-yard touchdown.

Check out the play below:

Patterson went 2-for-2 on the opening drive and has 79 yards after three pass attempts Saturday. Michigan is driving again into scoring position and not even half of the first quarter is gone.

It wouldn’t at all be a surprise if Michigan bounces back with a blowout win against Rutgers this weekend. Over the last four years, the Wolverines are 4-0 with an average margin of victory greater than 40 points versus the Scarlet Knights.
