Late in the first quarter, Michigan was driving on Wisconsin down 7-0. On a second-and-five situation, quarterback Shea Patterson looked to wide receiver Ronnie Bell.

Bell appeared to have an incredible diving catch to help move the chains and extend the drive. The ruling on the field was that it was a catch. However, it ended up being reviewed.

Then, the catch got overturned, forcing Michigan to punt instead.

Take a look at the catch that was overturned:

What do you think? Was it a catch wrongfully overturned?

That’s what FOX’s Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt — who are calling the game — thought, that Bell did indeed catch the football. FOX’s rules expert, Mike Pereira even got in on the call, eventually saying he didn’t only think that it was a catch.

Pereira would have overturned the call if it was initially ruled incomplete to a catch. That’s how clear he thought the play was.

Regardless, Michigan was eventually forced to punt and on the very next play, Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor took one 72 yards to the house.

Not good for Wolverine fans.
