Michigan’s game against NC State as part of the B1G-ACC Challenge was canceled this week due to coronavirus concerns within the Wolf Pack basketball program. The Wolverines worked diligently to get a new opponent on the schedule, though, and it appears to have paid off.

Michigan will host Toledo at Crisler Center on Wednesday. The school confirmed the news on Tuesday. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. ET.

The Michigan-NC State game was expected to be one of the better matchups of the B1G-ACC Challenge. The Wolverines are 4-0 on the season and the Wolf Pack sit at 3-0. It would’ve been an incredibly fun matchup.

But this is 2020 and flexibility is key.

Michigan said that it hopes to be able to reschedule to game against NC State at some point during the season. Whether or not that will actually happen — and whether it will count as part of the B1G-ACC Challenge — remains to be seen.

So far, two B1G-ACC Challenge games have been canceled with concerns related to the virus. The matchup between Wisconsin and Louisville was also called off because of COVID-19 issues within the Cardinals’ program.

The Badgers will play Rhode Island on Wednesday.
