Michigan cornerback expected to return for Saturday’s game against Indiana, per report
Michigan cornerback Jyaire Hill will reportedly play for the Wolverines in a Week 11 matchup against Indiana. The talented CB missed Michigan’s Week 10 game against Oregon with an undisclosed injury.
Fellow corner Will Johnson will not play in Week 11, so Hill’s return is even more important. Johnson was a 2023 First-team All-American and was the national title game’s Defensive MVP.

Hill has played in 8 games this season and has 29 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 interception. The corner also leads the team in pass deflections with 7. The sophomore has jumped into a larger role in 2024 as Mike Sainristil is now in the NFL.
Last weekend, without Hill and Johnson, the Wolverines were gashed through the air. Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel threw for 294 yards and the Ducks won the game 38-17.
Michigan’s pass defense has struggled in 2024. The unit is No. 95 in the country in passing yards allowed per game after finishing 2nd in the same category a year ago. Hill and Johnson both missing time hasn’t helped, and the Wolverines don’t have the depth of years past.
Even with Hill, Week 11 could be a tough test for the Wolverines. The No. 8 Hoosiers boast the No. 19 passing attack in the country and have the No. 8 total offense. These B1G rivals will kick off from Memorial Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET.
