On3’s Matt Zenitz dropped his weekly pick of coordinators from each Power 5 conference on Monday, following Week 6.

Michigan’s defensive coordinator Jesse Minter made Zenitz’s list for the B1G.

The Michigan Wolverines secured a win over Indiana, 31-10 and in the second half completely shut the Hoosiers out from scoring.

Michigan’s defense was able to post 7 total sacks on Indiana’s offense. The Wolverines held Indiana to a total of 222 yards, even coming away with an interception. The miscues of Indiana and the stamina behind Michigan’s defense can be credited to Minter.

Minter has been a defensive coordinator at three different programs over his career. Indiana State, Georgia State and more recently at Vanderbilt. He also was a defensive assistant for the Baltimore Ravens.

With experience all over the board in various programs, this pick from On3’s Matt Zenitz should not come as a shock.

We shall see how Minter and Michigan’s defense will deal with Penn State this Saturday for a B1G showdown.
