Wolverines defensive end Aidan Hutchinson is projected to go in the top five of next year’s NFL Draft after CBS Sports’ latest mock draft came out.

CBS Sports has Hutchinson going No. 2 overall to the Detroit Lions as they’re projected to not be good again this season under first year head coach Dan Campbell.

CBS’ Chris Trapasso wrote a brief scouting report on Hutchinson:

“Hutchinson is a box-checker at the edge rusher position. Size, strength, burst, flexibility and hand work of an NFL veteran. The Lions have to build out their defensive front.”

Hutchinson is off to a great start for the Wolverines this season as he has 8 total tackles (7 solo) with 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble through 2 games.

His best season came during 2019 when he finishes with 68 total tackles (34 solo) with 4.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. If he gets this season’s stats close to those, he will be a lock to go top 5 in next year’s draft.
