It’s not often that high school players from Columbus, Ohio, head north to play collegiately at Michigan, especially considering the rivalry between the Wolverines and Ohio State.

However, that’s exactly what 2020 WR Kalil Branham will do, making him pretty unpopular with hometown fans at the moment.

On Tuesday evening, Branham announced he would head to Ann Arbor to play for coach Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines in 2020:

According to the 247Sports rankings, Branham is the No. 36 wide receiver in the class of 2020 and the No. 5 overall recruit from the state of Ohio.

Branham is the first player in Michigan’s 2020 class, making it the No. 3 class in the Big Ten and the No. 22 nationally, per 247Sports.
