In addition to losing Aidan Hutchinson, Michigan will also be losing Chris Hinton going into next season.

Hinton announced via his Twitter that he will be declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft and not returning for his senior season.

Hinton had a breakout season as a junior after not doing much as a freshman or sophomore. He finished this season with 32 total tackles (17 solo) along with 1 sack, two forced fumbles, and 2 passes deflected.

In the Orange Bowl against Georgia, Hinton had 2 total tackles as Michigan’s season came to an end with a 34-11 loss.

Before coming to Ann Arbor, Hinton was one of the best recruits in the country. He was part of the class of 2019 and was considered the No. 7 player in his home state (Georgia).

He was also the No. 4 defensive tackle in the nation and the No. 31 overall recruit, per 247Sports Composite.

We’ll have to see where he gets picked in April’s draft.
