Michigan DL Mike Danna: ‘No doubt’ we’re a hard-nosed defense

There are undoubtedly a large number of people doubting Michigan after Saturday’s loss to Wisconsin, but it sounds like Michigan’s defenders have not lost their confidence.
It definitely wasn’t pretty watching Jonathan Taylor and the Badgers run crazy on the Wolverines. Wisconsin rushed for 359 yards in that game with Taylor accounting for 203 of those yards.
Not only was the rushing output huge, but the Badgers also put up 35 points in the big win. Such a lopsided victory brought many questions to the program, but defensive lineman Mike Danna said the defense is still confident in its identity.

When talking with the media on Tuesday, Danna said there is “no doubt” in his mind that the Wolverines have a physical defense. It is simply time for the defense to show it on the field:
“I think we’re a physical, hard-nosed defense,” explained Danna. “There’s no doubt in my mind about that. All camp being here, seeing it. There’s no doubt in my mind we’re a hard-nosed defense. We just got to put it on tape now. Everybody’s questioning us, we just have to prove it, but we know who we are.”
