Michigan made waves across the college football landscape with its 13-10 win over Ohio State on Saturday, and perhaps one of the impacts of such a result that goes undervalued is how it can affect the recruiting world.

The Wolverines’ fourth-straight win over the Buckeyes seems to have earned them some more confidence from high school players, as 4-star safety Jordan Young announced that he would be flipping his commitment from Clemson to Michigan on Sunday, via Hayes Fawcett of On3Sports.

Young, a North Carolina native, may have also noted the Tigers’ loss to in-state foe South Carolina in his decision, as this could be an example of one weekend’s results playing a major role in a recruit’s thought process.

Regardless, this commitment is a sign of growing momentum within the Wolverine program, as Sherrone Moore recently landed the services of 5-star quarterback Bryce Underwood after flipping him from LSU as well.

Despite a 7-5 campaign, Michigan appears to be trending in the right direction given the financial backing it has received, the recent run of playoff appearances and the dominance over Ohio State that seems to define the program at the moment.
