Michigan grabs commitment from 4-star in-state offensive lineman
A four-star offensive lineman and native of Detroit is headed to Michigan.
On Sunday, Michigan received a verbal pledge from Raheem Anderson, one of the top 10 in-state players in the 2021 recruiting class. He became the eighth player in this year’s cycle to commit to the Wolverines. Anderson made his announcement public with a video on Twitter.

Anderson is one of the top 250 players in the 2021 recruiting class, ranked No. 211 overall. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound lineman is also ranked as the third-best offensive center in this cycle and is also the seventh-ranked overall player out of Michigan, according to 247Sports.
Anderson has received over two dozen offers, picking Michigan over Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Pitt, Purdue and West Virginia.
Of Michigan’s eight total commitments in the 2021 class, five of them rank inside the top 250 nationally. Anderson is also the third in-state player to commit to the Wolverines.
Per 247Sports, Michigan’s 2021 class now ranks ninth nationally and third in the B1G.
