Michigan is now asking a very important question of its players every single day.

“What are you doing to beat Ohio State today?”

That’s the question a new sign asks in Michigan’s weight room, shared on Twitter this week by Bucknuts.com. With the Wolverines having dropped the last eight in the series and 15 of the last 16, it’s certainly a message everyone in Ann Arbor will take personally.

Jim Harbaugh is also 0-5 against the Buckeyes and is undoubtedly getting tired of hearing questions regarding his team’s failures against its biggest rival. Perhaps the constant reminder in the weight room will give the program the extra juice it’s lacked in the past eight meetings versus Ohio State.

The rivalry game took a backseat to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and the game had to be canceled because of concerns with the virus. Multiple Michigan student-athletes tested positive and “The Game” was not played.

It should add extra fuel to this year’s matchup.

Ohio State and Michigan will renew their rivalry again in 2021 in Ann Arbor. The two teams will play on Saturday, Nov. 27 with kickoff already set for 12 p.m. ET and the game airing on FOX in the Big Noon Kickoff slot.
