Michigan hockey is heading back to the Frozen Four! The Wolverines downed Penn State 2-1 Sunday in overtime, punching their ticket to Tampa with a Mackie Samoskevich goal just 1 minute into overtime.
Michigan’s first goal came via Adam Fantilli midway through the 3rd period, with assist from Samoskevich and Rutger McGroarty.
College hockey is criminally underhyped. Check out the game-winning goal from Samoskevich in OT below:

Michigan has some experience in the Frozen Four. The 9-time national champs made it to the Four last season before falling to Denver 3-2 in overtime.
The last time the Wolverines won the national title was in 1998. They were runners-up in 2011 and have reached the Frozen Four 8 times since their last title. Could this be the year they end the drought and make it 10?
