After Michigan led by just four points at halftime against Central Florida on Sunday, the Wolverines hit another gear in the second half.
Michigan outscored the Knights 42-24 and went on to post a blowout, 80-58 win against UCF at Crisler Center. The Wolverines now sit at 4-0.
Michigan’s offense was certainly functioning at a pretty good pace on Sunday as 10 players scored for the Wolverines. One of the biggest keys was the play of Michigan’s bench. Three different Wolverines players came in off the bench and were in double figures.
Chaundee Brown was one of those bench players. He led the way with 18 points. That’s the senior guard’s second-best scoring performance so far this season. He poured in 19 points in the season opener against Bowling Green.
One player who was noticeably absent on the offensive end for much of Sunday’s win was Isaiah Livers. The senior forward out of Kalamazoo, Michigan, had scored at least 17 points in each of his first three performances. On Sunday, he did not score until there were six minutes left and finished with just five points.
It's 71-43 in the first game of our tripleheader.@umichbball has that lead despite Isaiah Livers just getting his first basket. 👀 pic.twitter.com/6d1RvlMY0T

The Wolverines have faced some challenges early on in the 2020-21 season but sit at a perfect 3-0 record. Michigan’s toughest test to date appears to come this week when the Wolverines take on NC State in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
