The commitment total for Michigan in the 2021 recruiting class is now up to two. The Wolverines received an early morning pledge on Monday from a Minnesota power forward.

Corey Evans of Rivals.com reported the news early Monday that 3-star power forward Will Tschetter has committed to Michigan. Tschetter joins 4-star small forward Isaiah Barnes in the Wolverines’ 2021 recruiting class.

With Tschetter’s commitment on Monday, Michigan’s recruiting class jumped to No. 13 nationally and No. 5 in the B1G.

Tschetter is listed as a 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward out of Stewartville, Minnesota. According to 247Sports, he ranks as the second-best prospect out of his home state and is the No. 28 power forward in the class. Overall, he cracks the top 150, coming in at No. 149.

Several schools were interested in landing Tschetter. He ultimately chose Michigan over offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Virginia Tech, among others.

Michigan finished the 2019-20 season with a 19-12 record and 10-10 in B1G play. Head coach Juwan Howard enters his second season with the Wolverines this year.
