Former Coastal Carolina outside linebacker Josaiah Stewart entered the transfer portal following head coach Jamey Chadwell’s departure for Liberty a few weeks ago. He was instantly seen as one of the top player in the portal, having played 2 seasons in Myrtle Beach.

Stewart whittled his impressive offer list to LSU, USC and Michigan 6 days ago. On Sunday, Stewart announced via Twitter that he would be taking his talents to Ann Arbor.

Stewart had 37 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery and 1 pass deflection this past season with the Chanticleers. The former 3-star recruit stands at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds and hails from The Bronx, New York.

According to 247Sports, Michigan has the No. 1 FBS transfer portal ranking in the country, well above Oklahoma in 2nd place. The Wolverines have already scored commitments from talented transfers such as offensive linemen Myles Hinton from Stanford and LaDarius Henderson from Arizona State, as well as linebacker Ernest Hausmann from Nebraska.
