It’s been a pretty good year in Ann Arbor for Michigan. And it got even better with the signing of 4-star Karmello English out of Alabama. He is listed as the 40th-ranked wideout in the 2023 class by 247 Sports.

English was heavily recruited by the SEC before choosing Michigan. He held offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and others.

This is a nice addition for wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy and head coach Jim Harbaugh, especially when you consider the recruiting job Brian Hartline has done at the position for Ohio State. English becomes the highest-rated WR commitment for Michigan in the 2023 recruiting class.

Both the Buckeyes and the Wolverines could meet up in a rematch if they handle their business in the College Football Playoff semifinal matchups. Already, Michigan has a good selling point as the Wolverines have defeated Ohio State each of the past two seasons. English’s commitment could bring in more top playmakers in the future.
