Michigan football landed in the top 8 for 4-star linebacker Brayden Platt Tuesday afternoon, the only B1G program represented on his list.

Each of the Power 5 conference are represented on Platt’s list though. He’s also considering Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Miami, Texas A&M, UCLA, Oregon and USC. Of course, USC and UCLA are soon set to join the B1G.

Platt has a pretty wide range of rankings across the 3 major sites. 247Sports considers him to be a top-100 prospect, while their composite rankings list him as the No. 262 overall prosect. 247 ranks Platt as the No. 9 linebacker in the country and the No. 2 player out of the state of Washington.

The Wolverines offered Platt in May of 2022. Michigan currently has 2 linebacker commits in the class of 2024: 4-star Mason Curtis and 3-star Zach Ludwig.
