Michigan locker room celebrates with Paul Bunyan Trophy after blowout win over MSU
The winged helmet is still sitting atop Paul Bunyan’s head.
Michigan had very little trouble with Michigan State in Ann Arbor on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 44-10 victory over the Spartans. Jim Harbaugh improved to 3-2 in the rivalry series and the Wolverines have now won two straight games. Saturday marked the first home victory since 2012.
After the game, Michigan enjoyed the victory by dancing with the Paul Bunyan Trophy, who’s starting to get a little more comfortable in Ann Arbor. And you could tell how thrilled Michigan was to keep the trophy on campus for a second straight season.
Michigan improved to 8-2 with the win and has games against Indiana and Ohio State remaining. But, for now, it’s time to celebrate a huge win. Below is the video of the celebration, as posted by Michigan football on Twitter:
