Michigan makes top 5 for 2023 4-star wide receiver out of Texas

One of the top 2023 recruits out of the state of Texas has Michigan in his top group. Johntay Cook, a 4-star wide receiver out of DeSoto, named U-M in his top 5 along with Florida, Jackson State, Texas and Texas A&M.
It will likely be a big challenge for the Wolverines to beat out Texas and Texas A&M for a Lone Star State standout, but Cook wants to make it up to Ann Arbor to visit Jim Harbaugh’s program.
“Me and Coach (Ron) Bellamy have built a great relationship and can’t wait to get up there to see it,” Cook said of the Wolverines to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Cook has 40 scholarship offers, including Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, Ohio State and Penn State. His junior season highlights can be used below, via Hudl:
