Fresh off earning B1G player of the week, star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson is getting the utmost respect from those in the Michigan locker room.

Hutchinson tallied seven tackles and three sacks in No. 6 Michigan’s 21-17 victory at Penn State.

Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattis gets a first-hand preview of the dominant defender each week during practice. Gattis believes there’s no one better in all of college football than the 6-foot-6, 265-pound senior and that he should be in contention for the Heisman Trophy.

Hutchinson has amassed 22 solo tackles, nine sacks, and two forced fumbles this season.

Michigan is 9-1 overall and second place in the B1G East. Next up for the Wolverines is a road matchup at Maryland on Nov. 20 (3:30 p.m. EST/BTN). Michigan leads the all-time series 8-1 and is on a five-game winning streak vs. Maryland.
