Michigan OC Josh Gattis reiterates Harbaugh is leaving the offense to him
The best sports organizations — no matter the sport — are typically led by good owners.
In college sports, it’s a bit different, but the best head coaches usually delegate. They always have an influence on everything going around them, but they can’t do it all.
At Michigan, Jim Harbaugh can’t control the offense, defense, special teams, designing plays, breaking down film on every team, etc. He has to delegate.
Josh Gattis, the team’s offensive coordinator, is going into his first season in 2019. On Wednesday, he reiterated that Harbaugh is leaving the offense in his hands:

It’s Harbaugh’s team, but it’s Gattis’ offense. That is his job, after all.
We’ll get to see Gattis’ offense and the entire Wolverines team on Aug. 31 when they host Middle Tennessee.
