The Game did not disappoint on Saturday afternoon. Michigan finally beat Ohio State 42-27 for the first time in 8 years. The crowd rushed the field as the snow fell in Ann Arbor, creating a wonderfully chaotic scene.

The Wolverines beat the Buckeyes behind their ground-and-pound attack as RB Hassan Haskins scored 5 touchdowns on the day. Michigan OC Josh Gattis believed that the Wolverines could out physical the Buckeyes.

“They’re a good team. They’re a finesse team, they’re not a tough team,” Gattis said of Ohio State, according to Kevin Harrish of elevenwarriors.com. “And we knew that going into the game that we can out-physical that we can out-physical them, we can out-tough and that was going to be the key to the game, and that’s what we prepared for all year long.”

If nothing else, Ohio State will have bulletin board material for the next 364 days until they welcome Michigan into the Shoe next season.

Michigan will have to try an out-physical its next opponent, No. 16 Iowa, if they want to win the B1G Championship Game and a chance at the College Football Playoff.
