Michigan is headed to overtime against Ohio, and how the game got there was strange indeed.

With the Bobcats in possession in a 61-61 ballgame, Ohio’s Jaylin Hunter hoisted up a 3-pointer with around 5 seconds to go rather than hold for a final shot. Michigan rebounded the miss and looked to call time, but were awarded a pair of free throws after Ohio inexplicably committed a foul with .1 seconds on the clock.

Michigan ended up making both free throws after the game clock was reset to 2.1 seconds, with Ohio looking for a 2 to tie or 3 to win trailing 63-61. What happened next…well, you’ll have to watch for yourself:

While a lot can happen in 2.1 seconds, it’s how it happened that is simply mind-blowing, to say the least. As for Michigan, the fact that it let Ohio even hang around is a little concerning.

All was good for Juwan Howard’s team, though, as it ended up getting the 70-66 win in overtime. But this was a wild ending to regulation at the Crisler Center, to say the least.
