A third Michigan player and second offensive lineman has been drafted this year.
Saturday afternoon, former UM offensive guard Ben Bredeson was selected late in the fourth round. He was taken with the 143rd pick and will be headed to the Baltimore Ravens. He joins fellow offensive lineman Cesar Ruiz (No. 24 New Orleans Saints) and linebacker Josh Uche (No. 60 New England Patriots) as Wolverines selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Bredeson was a longtime anchor on the offensive line for the Wolverines, playing in all but one game during his career with the program. He made 46 starts while in Ann Arbor and played for two teams that won 10 games in his four years.
The 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive lineman received All-B1G honors three time in his career and was an All-American selection in 2019. He was also a two-time team captain and an Academic All-B1G selection.
Bredeson brings good size and athleticism to the offensive line to Baltimore. Fittingly, he leaves one Harbaugh for another, as Jim Harbaugh’s brother John Harbaugh is the head coach of the Ravens.
