Michigan will have a big hole to fill along its offensive line in 2020.

A two-year starter at center, Cesar Ruiz announced Friday that he will be foregoing his senior season to enter the 2020 NFL Draft. Ruiz was a four-star recruit out of high school and hit the ground running, appearing in 10 games as a freshman in 2017.

Since then, Ruiz established himself as one of the best pass-blocking centers in the country. He accrued 25 starts from 2018-19 and was undoubtedly a key piece of the o-line for the Wolverines.

In a post on Twitter, Ruiz declared it “an honor to be able to wear the maize and blue.” He also thanked his family, friends, and Michigan fans as he prepares to make his NFL dream a reality:

Best of luck to a great Wolverine as he heads to the next level!
