Michigan OL, member of 2019 recruiting class, reportedly hits transfer portal
Michigan has reportedly seen one offensive lineman hit the transfer portal heading into this weekend’s matchup with Wisconsin.
According to 247 Sports, junior Nolan Rumler is entering the transfer portal on Friday as the Wolverines prepare for a road trip to Madison. Rumler is a 6-foot-3 offensive lineman who was a 4-star prospect out of Akron, Ohio in 2019. The composite rankings had Rumler as the No. 10 OG nationally and No. 5 prospect out of Ohio for that cycle.
Rumler did not see action during his freshman year of 2019 but made his debut in the shortened 2020 campaign. He played on special teams against Penn State last year in his first game action.
To start 2021, Rumler has seen action against Western Michigan but has appeared in just 2 career games with the Wolverines. Now, it looks like he will enter the portal and examine his options elsewhere.
