With so many offensive minds already on Jim Harbaugh’s staff, the news of Tim Drevno’s exit isn’t a complete shock.

News of his departure from the Michigan program was leaked Friday morning. Drevno served as the program’s offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for three seasons. It’s worth noting the Wolverines recently added Jim McElwain to the coaching staff as a receivers coach. He previously served as Alabama’s offensive coordinator before taking over the head coaching duties at Colorado State and Florida.

Following a solid 2016 performance, Michigan’s offense took a significant step backward under Drevno’s leadership.

According to ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren, the decision was a mutual parting.
