Michigan president Santa Ono comments on recent Jim Harbaugh NFL rumors
The 2022 season has ended for Michigan football, which means it’s time for more Jim Harbaugh rumors. Michigan president Santa Ono was one of the latest to comment on them.
Ono is obviously hoping that the rumors are not true and that Harbaugh decides to stick around at Michigan. Harbaugh has led the Wolverines to two-straight wins over Ohio State, two B1G titles, and back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances.
Ono stated that Harbaugh is a great coach and that hopefully the university can keep the Michigan HC in Ann Arbor.
“He’s a great coach,” said Ono. “I hope we can keep him.”
Despite the lack of success in the Playoff, Harbaugh has posted a 25-3 record over the last two seasons. Michigan could not advance past the first round of the Playoffs once again and lost to TCU in the Fiesta Bowl.
Things are definitely looking up for the football program with J.J. McCarthy and Donovan Edwards set to return in 2023. Harbaugh would be a huge loss for Michigan if he leaves for the NFL.
