Ono shared the news from his Twitter account. Ono had a phone call with Harbaugh to confirm that the news and informed Athletic Director Warde Manuel.

I just got off the phone with Coach Harbaugh and Jim shared with me the great news that he is going to remain as the Head Coach of the Michigan Wolverines. That is fantastic news that I have communicated to our Athletic Director Warde Manuel.

There have been rumors this offseason that Harbaugh was going to return to the NFL in 2023. Harbaugh last coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-2014.

Michigan is coming off of a B1G title and College Football Playoff appearance against TCU. Harbaugh has led the Wolverines to those games in back-to-back seasons.

It looks like Michigan football will be in good hands with Harbaugh back at the helm for another year.
